Game Design

Hereafter by Birgitta Stacia



According to the flash game i play which is " Hereafter ", the five elements of a game that i found :

Challenge
Player need to avoid touch the changing icicle, trap and  the fruit dropping. In order to pass this game, player have to collect the required total of essence to pass the level. Which mean the number of dead will affected the the number of essence. Others, player also have to shoot down all the monster to get essence. If not, the door cannot be open without the required total and cant be access next level.

Choice
In the level 2 of this game, it allowed player to choose the bottom road or top road. For the top road, It's much narrow. And the bottom road will be more side, but it have a icicle in between up and down. Both of it have their challenging to pass it.

Chance
This game give a chance that allow player alive after dead, but player have to pass the checkpoint first. so that, when they dead, they will be get reborn on the last time checkpoint.

Luck
In the last level of of this game I think that the luck probably is the monster scorpion. It's randomly appear, which mean sometime it suddenly come out a lot, and sometimes it just come out a little.

Strategy
The strategy of this game is to collect the enough essence while avoid any dangerous. For example the changing icicle, icicle trap, dropping fruit and also need to shoot the monster to access the next other side.

From my opinion I think this quite a good game that test our passion. If the main character have a limit total of reborn and life bar, it will be much better.
